Overview

The Ares 2.0 is Rep's take on the space-saving folding rack, designed for the lifter who shares a garage with cars, bikes, or a workshop and needs the floor back when training is done. It uses serious 11-gauge 3x3 uprights with 1-inch hole spacing, so despite the folding mechanism this is not a flimsy compromise rack; it lifts heavy with confidence. The uprights pivot on a wall-mounted hinge plate and fold to a depth of just a few inches, letting a full power-rack-quality lifting station disappear against the wall. When deployed, the depth is adjustable so you can set your pull and squat distance from the wall, and it accepts Rep's 1-inch attachment ecosystem. This rack is ideal for shared-use garages and small home gyms where permanent floor space is the binding constraint. The trade-offs are inherent to folding designs: you must own a wall with proper stud or concrete anchoring, the deployed footprint is shallower than a freestanding rack so some attachments do not apply, and folding and unfolding adds a small ritual to every session. For space-constrained lifters who refuse to give up heavy steel, it is an outstanding solution.
