Overview

The Peloton Bike is the machine most responsible for the connected-fitness boom, and it remains the reference point for the live-and-on-demand studio experience at home. A quiet magnetic resistance system paired with a weighted flywheel delivers a smooth, controllable ride, with resistance adjusted by a knob that the instructor calls out during classes. The centerpiece is the 22-inch HD touchscreen, which streams thousands of live and on-demand cycling classes plus off-bike strength, yoga and stretching content through the Peloton All-Access Membership, a separate monthly subscription that is essential to the experience. Leaderboards, output tracking in watts and a sense of community are core to why riders stay engaged. The bike is compact with a small footprint and stays put on its caster-equipped feet, making it well suited to apartments. Seat and handlebars adjust vertically and horizontally, though the bike uses delta-compatible cleats and look-style pedals, so cycling shoes are part of the package. The screen does not swivel as far as the Bike+, and resistance is set manually rather than auto-adjusting. It is not foldable.
